The Systems Administrator will be involved with assisting from a Linux Admin perspective and assisting with the client’s work load. This includes troubleshooting, logins, configuration, installation of software packages and overall administration of Redhat, troubleshooting vhosts, working with automation tools. This also includes new server builds, hardware refresh, Samba/NFS configuration, and general Linux troubleshooting for approximately 60 servers. The environment for Linux is 30 servers and 1 cluster of 30 servers (60 total). This candidate will also be running with the following projects that are in the pipeline: Scientific Computing Cluster Upgrade and building (approx 4) new servers for upcoming projects. The ownership of our monitoring solution (OpManager) also falls under the umbrella of responsibilities for this candidate.
Experience:

- Redhat Enterprise Systems Administrator (at least 3-5 years)
o Including configuration of Samba for AD Domain Authentication
o Kickstart/automated deployments of such systems
o Configuration of SSH keys – Any type of clustering (scientific cluster specifically if possible) configuration/administration (i.e. SGE, Beowulf, etc…) or work with specialized scientific/research software on a Linux environment. – Needs experience working in a large corporate environment dealing with a formal change control process and following standards

As for any of the nice to haves it would be anything on the Windows Administration or Network side. If they have exposure to OpManager (monitoring solution) that would be extremely helpful as well.

My client, a major ISP, has a 6 month consulting project for a DNS Administrator. They are seeking someone who is very strong with Bind DNS; they will train on the DNS system that they use . This person would be setting up the DNS Client / Name Server IP as well as performing general Red Hat Linux Systems Administration duties. Red Hat Linux is required, Solaris knowledge is a plus as well as a solid networking background.
