Support and Adminstartion Linux and Software

My client is a hedge-fund firm specializing in global equity strategies and arbitrage. They are looking to hire a person to help support the infrastructure and to support their algorithmic high frequency trading applications.
Candidates should have between 2-5 years of experience in most of the areas listed below. Be willing to work long hours, typically 11-13 hours a day, have excellent communication and presentation skills. Financial experience is not required but desire to learn the business is required.

Primary responsibilities for this posisiton will be:
1. Development
a. Messaging systems and database systems development, maintenance, and performance tuning
b. Trading systems development, including monitoring tools and backend systems in a variety of languages (Java, C++, Perl, SQL)
c. Procedural automation and execution
2. Administration
a. File backup and disaster recovery
b. Network maintenance and administration
c. Performance tweaks and proactive administration on an operating systems, software and hardware level
d. Review and make recommendations for all IT expenditures
The candidate must have experience with database systems (e.g. MySQL), object oriented programming (e.g. Java or C++), and systems
administration (e.g. Linux, Windows Active Directory). Ideally the candidate will have direct experience working with the following technologies:
