Outbrain is a vastly growing internet operation spanning four data centers and adding another in Europe by the end of the year.

We’re a Linux shop who opts for open source applications when possible and, as such, we are looking for a highly capable systems administrator that is eager to work with best of breed internet technologies to join our operations team and help us tackle scaling out our service and infrastructure.

As a Operations Engineer at outbrain you will work inside our operations team but will have a continuous and tight connection with the development team, working shoulder to shoulder (although, an ocean between you) to resolve issues and build systems that drive high volumes of internet traffic. High ability to learn things by yourself and creativity in developing solutions is highly appreciated.

Specific to this role, we’re hoping to enlist someone with some programming experience to help our operations team build tools and automation.

Requirements:

• Linux system administration experience.
• A fair level of networking knowledge.
• Experience in web operations.
• Experience with office IT.
• Some programming skills (advantage).
